ABOUT GRACIE CARVER
Gracie Carver is an artist and graphic designer, originally from Stoke on Trent. She holds a first class degree in Design for Publishing from the Norwich School of Art and Design, and began her career designing covers, menus and promotional material for commercial DVDs and CDs before moving into book design, photography and illustration. Her clients include the novelists Arun Debnath, Jane McCulloch, Martin Lake, A.P. Jessett, John Uttley, C.A. Shilton, Akwesi Phillips, and Sir David Madden; the editors A.J. Ashworth, Lynne Bryan and Belona Greenwood; and the publishing houses Unthank Books, Dey Publishing (India), Green Door Press, and Jackdaw Books. She also designed the virtual learning environment for the Unthank School of Writing’s online creative writing programme, and spent two years in administration at the University of East Anglia. Gracie also works in textiles and paper-craft, and has a long professional association with Creative Crafting World Ltd as one of their leading product designers, becoming Creative Development Manager in January 2018, before being promoted to Head of Design the following year. Her work appears regularly on Create & Craft TV and is available in a range of national home ware stores. She is a prolific art blogger, and a keen supporter several charities including Alzheimer’s Society, Cancer Research UK and primate conservation. She and Stephen met just over ten years ago and married in 2010; Their son, Vincent, was born in 2011.
